The objective of this pro bono engagement is to deliver free “no strings attached” financial planning information and education. Any workshops and one-on-one meetings with a planner are for educational purposes only. The San Diego Financial Literacy Center does not recommend or endorse individual professionals or services.
The professionals have volunteered to provide free general financial planning information. Any information, conversations or recommendations I may receive are for informational purposes only, and reliance on such is solely at my own risk. No client, representative or agent relationship is created by my participation. By accepting this information without paying any costs or fees, I expressly agree to hold all individuals and parties associated with the activity harmless regarding any action I may ultimately decide to take in connection with the information, conversations, or recommendations I may receive. I, the undersigned, release the volunteers, their business or affiliated organizations of any and all claims, actions, suits, proceedings, damages, liability, costs and expenses incurred as a result of any act or failure as a result of negligence or unauthorized actions in connection with these pro bono financial planning activities.
Plan of Work & Completion of Engagement:
•The planner will work with pro bono client to establish goals and, if possible or time permits, present a financial plan.
•All details shared with pro bono planner is confidential, as client financial situations are confidential.
•The planner will share suggestions and the plan with the pro bono client only.
Establish end date of the Pro Bono Engagement:
•Once presented with the goals or financial plan, client has elected to implement some or all of the recommendations on his/her own.
•Client has elected to set up future pro bono sessions on the approximate dates below and the pro bono relationship will be terminated at the end of these sessions:
The engagement will be concluded upon the completion noted above and acceptance of the pro bono financial planning process as evidenced by the signatures below.
PRIVACY POLICY
In the course of the engagement, Client may share sensitive, non-public personal information with Planner, including annual income, net worth, account balances and more.
Planner will not disclose this non-public information to anyone, except:
• To comply with laws, regulations, or court or government order or request
• When Planner requires additional information from another professional such as an attorney, accountant, or other CFP® professional to give Client accurate advice
• To share with a person whom Client has authorized Planner to share with
• To protect against or prevent fraud, ID theft, claims or other liability
Planner will inform Client prior to sharing this information with any of the above.
