Profession: Marie plans, organizes, directs, and evaluates the activities for the East and North Central Regions within the Health and Human Services Agency. She also provides integrated, regionalized, community-based services.

Marie manages 900 employees with the direct responsibility for coordinating with the community to plan, develop, and implement an array of services to meet specific needs. She directs the development and implementation of the regional or functional area plans and programs through line management staff, prepares the annual budget and monitors revenue and expenditure transactions, conducts fiscal analyses and prepares cost projections, and she ensures that agency activities are in compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations, laws, and codes pertaining to health and human services.

Marie also coordinates with other HHSA Directors to ensure consistent customer services and quality of Agency services, directs the development and implementation of operational policies and procedures concerning Agency services, identifies operational problems and formulates appropriate solutions, prepares executive level reports and correspondence, and she provides responsive, high quality service to County employees, representatives of outside agencies, and members of the public.
