SDFLC in Los Angeles?

On Friday March 10^th we took the train up the coast and delivered financial literacy all the way to LosAngeles at the H.O.P.E 26th Latina History Day conference. As is always the case we tailored the presentation to the audience. Our Volunteer Francilia Herrera presented to students on the importance of budgeting and money management in a way they could connect to.

After the presentation the SDFLC guys had the students apply what they learned in an interactive budgeting activity. Each group of girls was given three real life scenarios and asked to play the role of counselor in fixing and modifying the budgets. For the final activity we had the students apply what they learned to their own personal budget to show the significance of the topic to their everyday life.
